Two More Professors Join Mountcrest

Two new Professors have joined the faculties of Mountcrest University College (MCU). They are Prof. Helen Yitah, a professor of English who is on sabbatical leave from the University of Ghana, and Prof. Charles Ilegbune, a Visiting Professor of Law.

Prof. Yitah takes over from Prof. Elom Dovlo (now on retirement) as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Head of Quality Assurance, while Prof. Ilegbune becomes the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Laws, taking over from Prof. Emmanuel K. Quansah, the former Dean.

The two professors were officially introduced by the Rector/Founder of MCU, Mr. Kwaku Ansa-Asare, to Management/Board members on August 8, this year, at a meeting at the College’s Main Campus in Larteh-Akuapem in the Akuapem-North District of the Eastern Region.

The meeting discussed new programmes that MCU is about to introduce to the public, branding of the new building on the Main Campus and the things needed to upgrade the offices there.

After the initial discussions, the group, in the company of the project’s architect, toured the project site to see the progress of work and trash out outstanding issues.

Later in the day, four members of staff from Enterprise Life Insurance in Accra, who had made the trip to Larteh, introduced to the Rector, the insurance company’s newest product – a Funeral Scheme that pays out large sums of money to its clients to cover funeral costs.

They explained that individuals, family members, institutions, and organizations were all qualified to join the scheme to guarantee that on the demise of a loved one, they would be financially supported to organize a funeral of their choice.
