Mountcrest University College (MCU) on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019, mounted an exhibition stand to participate in the second edition of the Ghana Job Fair held at the Fantasy Doom at the Trade Fair grounds in Accra.
The fair was organized by the Ghanaian-German Center for Migration and Re-integration in collaboration with Ghana’s Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations. It attracted over four thousand (4,000) of job seekers who thronged the grounds with varying qualifications, expertise and experiences, either searching for new jobs or hoping to switch to different companies and industries that were there to recruit.
It also featured exhibitions by companies who displayed their products and advertisements for various job vacancies, a curricular vitae clinic and a mock interview session.
The one-day event was opened by the Deputy Minister of Labour and Employment, Mr. Bright Wireko-Brobbey, on behalf of the Minister, Mr. Ignatius Baffour-Awuah. In attendance was the German Ambassador in Ghana, Mr. Christoph Retzlaff.
There was also a panel discussion titled “Matching Skills and Needs”. The panelist were successful entrepreneurs, heads and directors of the civil services of Ghana and directors of the Ghana-German Centre.
The exhibitors were from varying industries such as education, construction, production, information technology, automobiles, agriculture, banking and waste management.
