A three-member delegation from Mountcrest University College (MCU) led by the Rector/Founder, Mr. Kwaku Ansa-Asare, has attended a 10-day Executive Seminar on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Jerusalem, Israel.
It was organized by “Building Bridges”, a consortium that promotes academic and cultural linkages between Israel and higher education institutions in Africa, under the auspices of the Jerusalem School of Business, Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The other members of the delegation were Mrs Helena Ansa-Asare, MCU co-founder and Professor Harold S. Amonoo-Kuofi, Deputy Rector, Academic and Student Affairs and Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Allied Health Professions.
The delegation was met on arrival by Ms. Carina Baum, Chief Executive Officer of Building Bridges.
Aside the seminar which was packed with lectures, participants toured historical and religious places of interest such as Jerusalem Old City, Nazareth and Bethlehem.
One other primary reason for the Israeli trip was for the delegation to explore opportunities for academic and research linkages with some previously identified institutions. Among them are:
- The International School of Agricultural Science at the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment
- The Hebrew University Faculty of Veterinary Sciences
- The Braun School of Public Health, Hadassah Medical Organization
- The Faculty of Engineering, Hebrew University.
On their return home, the delegation says the seminar and its interactions with these institutions were positive and Mountcrest looks forward to signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoU’s) with the institutions in the near future.
